So what to do when you have message “You have files waiting to be burned to disc” popping up from the bottom system tray?

Basically, if you see this, you probably tried to burn some files or folders to a disc earlier. You can insert a blank disc to finish up the burning. But what if you don’t and just want to clear this message up?

First of all, open Folder Options (press Win key and type Folder Options) and check to make sure the option Show all folders is checked. If this is unchecked, the disc drive will be hidden when there is no disc in the drive.

Then, open Windows Explorer, right-click the optical disc drive, select Delete temporary files from the context menu.

If you are on a Windows 7 computer, you can also click on the disc drive, and click Delete temporary files button on the toolbar.

Since these are the temporary files saved in Windows temp folder, you can just head over to the following folder and delete all the files there.

%userprofile%\appdata\local\Microsoft\Windows\Burn\\Burn
