HostedNetworkStarter is a new utility from NirSoft that allows you to easily create a wifi hotspot with your wireless network adapter, using the Wifi hosted network feature of Windows Operating System. With the wifi hotspot created by this tool, you can allow any device with wifi support to access the network and the Internet connection available in your computer.

Like any other tools from NirSoft, HostedNetworkStarter is a portable tool that doesn’t require any installation process or additional DLL files though it does come with a version with full install/uninstall support. To run the tool, simply launch the executable file, hostednetworkstarter.exe from the zipped file. The first window that pops up is the “Hosted Network Option” window asking you the specifics for your wifi hotspot, such as Network Name (SSID), Network Key, etc.
