Install Office Apps on Latest Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview

Microsoft released another new preview build (10080) of Windows 10 Mobile for the group of Windows Insiders. One of the new things added in this build is the beta version of Windows Store which includes all apps previously only made for Windows desktops. And because of this, you now are able to install Universal Office Apps and Xbox app right on your Windows Phone.

Before you go get these apps, go to Settings → Update & Recovery → Check update to install the latest build. It could take some time to get it installed and ready.

Once installed and restarted, go to All Apps, you will now see Store (beta) listed as an app there. Tap it to go to the Windows Store.

Then do a search for “office”, a list of Universal Apps shows up, including Word, Excel. PowerPoint, and OneNote. Tap into each of them and install them to your Phone.

Once installed, you will find them in the Recent Installed section at the top of App List. Pin them all to Start if you want to. And then you can enjoy them all right on your Windows Phone. Check some screenshots below to see how they look like.

Aside the Windows Store beta, the new build 10080 of Windows 10 Mobile also includes 3 new preview apps for you to test out, Music Preview App, Video Preview App, and new Camera app.

By following these new builds released for Windows Phone, I feel that everything is coming to piece together. It becomes more and more like a complete product that is going to rock.
