The popular XBMC plugin Iceflims is one of the victims after US government issued to shutdown Megaupload last Thursday. The result was, if you rely on iceflims to stream TV Shows or Movies, chances are it’s not going to work for XBMC, even if those are updated 2shared links. So, instead of waiting for new updates to fix the issue, we would like to share with you 2 more XBMC plugins that let you to do pretty much all the functions from Iceflims. If you are new to Media Center or XBMC, read on, you will love it.
NaviX
NaviX is a XBMC program plugin, runs on all the platforms XBMC supports to run, including PC, Mac, Linux, Apple TV, iPad/iPhone, Xbox, PS3, Wii and Android. Download the plugin here.
Install the ZIP file as add-on.
Launch XBMC > System > Settings > Add-ons > “Install from ZIP file”. Navigate to the location where you have downloaded the plugin and install it.
Once you have done the installation. From the main menu, go to Program > Navi-X
You can find pretty much anything from here, from TV Shows to Movies, all with latest shows and pretty good quality and speed.
Free Cable
Free Cable, as the name suggested, you can watch/stream TV Shows from different cable companies.
To get this working you need to first install the Bluecop’s Repo download the repo zip file here.
To install, go to System > Settings > Add-ons > “Install From ZIP” select the repo zip. Once that’s done, make sure restart XBMC.
Navigate to System > Settings > Add-ons > “Get Add-ons” > “bluecop Add-on Repository” > Free Cable to install the plugin.
Once the plugin has installed go back to main menu > Video > Add-ons > Free Cable.
From here you can select a list of cable providers and stream shows from each of their networks. For some channels, this plugin also bypasses the location restrictions if you are not live within US.
That’s it, make good use with those two plugin and enjoy!
thank you so much for this
For some reason it wont let me install NAVIx from a rar file. When I click on install from a rar file and go to where it is the “ok” option doesn`t activate and all i can do is cancel.Any ideas greatly appreciated
its not a RAR file, its a zip file. Download here http://navi-x.googlecode.com/files/Navi-X_v37_4.zip
Its not working for me anymore….is this because of the sting the US government did?
I’ve had some problems trying to download Bluecop’s Repo. It is asking a Username and Password. Do you have an alternative download link?

Xbmc is the biggest waste of time. You spend hours tryin to get any live stream going.
90% of the add ons go through the motions only to produce nothing….. ‘Working’ err no.
Like any hack it lasts a week at best. Rant over

maybe you could find a child to set it up correctly for you

I avoided having to even mess with figuring out how to add XBMC add ons buy getting a SkystreamX. It came with XBMC 12.2 Frodo already installed and all of the good Add Ons were already preloaded onto the box. Great product. Plug and Play.
Android TV Box
those plugins look and sound wonderful but they are not compatible with the latest stable releases of openelec and xbmc. Pitty
