ESET AV Remover is a free utility that removes any antivirus software currently installed on your computer. It was designed and developed by ESET, an AntiVirus software vendor, for the purpose of preparing a clean environment for installing its own antivirus software.
But I am finding that it could also be a useful tool in other situations, removing a pre-loaded antivirus software from a new computer, or cleaning up an old computer that has a few of antivirus software installed over the time.
Since it’s also a portable tool, you can just download it from its product page and run it directly without installing it first.
Click Continue, and the tool will start scanning your computer and list all antivirus software for you to review before doing un-installation.
It was recommended that you restart your computer and run ESET AV Remover again to ensure nothing left behind.
ESET AV Remover works on Windows XP and above with support to both 32-bit and 64-bit editions. It supports the antivirus software and security solutions from vendor like Avast, Avira, AVG, BitDefender, Kaspersky, Malwarebytes, Norton, Panda, Symantec and Trend Micro, covering pretty much all major security providers on the market.
