How to change the default location in Windows Explorer to My Computer in Windows 7

Ever wonder why Microsoft came up with the new Library directories? Well I don’t know what’s the use of that, but centrally not use to it when I need to click one more directory to access my file. By default, when you launch Explorer in Windows 7 it will bring you to the Library page, from there you can have access to your documents, music, photos, videos etc. You can change the default location by going to the Properties and change the Shortcut Target. Here I will show you how to change it back to My Computer when you open the Explorer.

To do this:

Right click the Explorer on your Super Bar (Task Bar) and Right click Windows Explorer again, Go to Properties.

This is before, you need to replace the Target location to %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /root,::{20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D} This will bring your Explorer to open a new My Computer Window

You can also change it to my Documents, Photos, and Videos etc by copy the target path of the corresponding directories.

If you are not happy with what you done you can always to change it back to %SystemRoot%
