Start button is the button that sits on the left bottom corner of your screen and used to be called XP. It’s probably one of the button on Windows 7 that you click the most during the day. So another words, it’s probably also easy to get bored after seeing the same thing over and over again on daily basis.
If you do, here is an easy way of changing it by using a small tool called Windows 7 Start Button Changer, shared by The Windows Club.
The tool is a portable tool that doesn’t require installation before using it, and very easy to use. Simply download the tool and extract them to your local computer. To launch the tool, because it needs to access the file in the system folder you would have to launch the tool via Run as Administrator.
It comes with 10 sample orbs for you to use and you absolutely can create your own orbs as well in bmp format.
Here is what my start orb looks like after I use the tool to change it.
Note that the tool will back up the original Explorer.exe file before replacing it so if you are running into any problem afterwards you can easily get it restored.
The tool works for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
