Since I started using Windows 10, I haven’t been able to successfully install Cisco VPN Client on any machine that I run Windows 10, and that includes the latest 10240 RTM version. It always stopped in the middle with error message 27850 saying “unable to manage networking component), like below:

If you are experiencing the same, here is something you can try:

1. Make sure the Cisco VPN Client you run is at least at 5.0.0.7.

2. Download the PNE software and install it before installing the VPN client.

Go to Cisco DNE Support page, and at mid-way through the page under “Other DNE Problems” you will find the download link to 32-bit and 64-bit version of DNE installation file. Download the file and install it on your Windows 10 computer.

3. Install Cisco VPN Client again. Once the DNE is installed, you should have no problem installing Cisco VPN Client on your Windows 10 computer.

However, even though you got to where you are now having Cisco VPN Client installed on your new Windows 10 computer, you may still have difficulty connecting to your remote VPN server.
