Frankly, it’s not that easy to get out once you signed up the Insider Preview. Not many options either, you either do a refresh or reset on your computer or wait until the next feature update released. With the release of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18875 (20H1), Microsoft has officially wrapped up the development of the current feature update at 1903 and has moved on to the next stage. It means that if you want to opt out the Insider Preview without a
Open Settings app, go to Update & Security. Click Advanced options and Pause updates for any period of time.
Now go to the Windows Insider Program, and turn on the switch under Stop getting preview builds section.
Restart you computer, resume updates in Settings and it’s all set.
After having participated in the Insider Preview program since day 1, I finally opted out on my main computer. It probably never be a good idea to begin with but I was so eager to experience what’s new out of the new system. It’s been not bad for the past years but things were pretty rough last round. Some of the bugs existed in some of the builds really cost my time at work and I can’t afford that anymore. I will still keep the Insider builds coming but only on my second computer.
