Microsoft Desktop Player is a new educational tool introduced by Microsoft for both IT professional and developers. It offers a wide range of topics in a variety media format, from webcasts, whitepapers, training videos, and much more, right from your desktop.
The player has a 2-column layout, searching the topics with your own keywords,from left column and read or watch the content at right. It’s developed in .Net and Slivelight. So you may need both component installed before you can use it.
Microsoft Desktop Player is currently still in beta but it works quite well and plays tons of contents from pretty much any topics related to Microsoft. If you don’t like it being installed on your computer, the web version also works exactly the same way as the desktop version.
