image48 - ShellFolderFix Manages Your Folder Windows Sizes and Positions in Windows 7 If you often have multiple separate folders open up on your Windows 7 desktop, you might find this tool useful, especially when you also have multiple-monitors. ShellFolderFix is basically a small little tool that allows you to enable folder and size position saving as well as maintaining folder browsing history between sessions. Once you set the options you need and send the application to the system tray, you probably will never need it again as it runs in the background keeping track of the folders you open. ShellFolderFix is a freeware tool released on Windows 7 Forums, which is currently still in beta. The author suggests that it may be a good idea to try it out a little while first before enabling auto-start feature. The tool comes with both installation package or zipped portable version with 64-bit also supported. The tool fills in a gap for a missing feature in Windows 7 that is available in previous version. However, to be honest, I don’t remember or know there was a feature in Windows XP or Vista that can remember Folder Windows’ sizes and positions. So if you know that’s existed, please share it in the commend. Otherwise, enjoy this app with many folder windows you have opened on your desktop. [via lifehacker]
