I was fortunate to be recruited by Microsoft for an interview at Redmond over the last weekend. So the day after the interview I got a chance to tour the rare “Microsoft Store”. As I was wondering around the mall, I caught the Windows Phone Challenge in action. If you don’t know what “Windows Phone Challenge” is, it’s basically a camping launched by Microsoft to show off their speedy new Lumia by Nokia. The rule is, you can use any kind smart phone to try to bet Windows Phone in a specific task. If your phone accomplish the same task FASTER then Windows Phone, then you will get $1000 from the store, if not you get nothing. But most people who have failed to bet Windows Phone do get a $25 dollar gift card.
So here is Windows Phone Challenge In Action !
Of course, the challenge asked competitions to take a Photo and tag him/her self then upload to Facebook. Windows Phone has facebook sharing feature build-in, integrated to the core OS. There is no need to launch a new App to do this, where as most other smart phones might loos to Windows Phone in this particular challenge.
If you think your Phone can bet Windows Phone in such speed competition feel free to give it a shoot at a Microsoft Store near you.
Some Windows Phone, the one in the middle is Lumia 800 by Nokia.
I bet you won’t see this at Apple Store.
Those “slate PC” looks pretty slick, but wait until you use it, you will know how hard it is to use compare to iPad.
