Well, according to Microsoft, it’s really just the suggestions Microsoft occasionally throw on to your Start Menu for recommended apps that you should consider installing on your computer. But since it’s something we don’t install at the first place, it’s safe to be called ads as well. Even though it only takes a small tile on your start menu, you may still get annoyed and want to completely turn it off.
Microsoft has already thought about it and has put an easy option in Settings up for you to easily turn it off.
Open Settings app, go to Personalization, switch to Start tab, and switch off the option “Occasionally show suggestions in Start“.
That’s about it. The change takes place right away. You are good to go right after you switched the option off.
