Windows 8 Quick Tip: Opening Web Page from IE Metro App to Desktop App

0

IE Metro app is actually quite nice to use, especially on a touch device. But since it doesn’t support add-ons natively, the websites that rely on the add-ons like Flash may not display properly. And that’s when you want to switch to the desktop version. And you can do so fairly easily without copying and pasting URLs between two apps.

Simply open the bottom option bar and click on the wrench icon to pick View on the desktop option.

And that’s it. I only wish IE desktop version has the same feature that can quickly switch a web page from desktop to metro app for me.
